Calvary Empowerment Team is celebrating their summer camp’s Grand Opening today! We are excited to celebrate with them as we begin this new partnership. 24 children have been identified as the primary actors, singers and dancers from the CET site. Approximately 60 youth will be benefiting from regular classes in the arts disciplines. We are excited to share this opportunity with them to participate in the arts and inspire community change.
Annie, Sam and U Jay from Mt. Barclay are already active in leading this new group of students. They oversaw the group audition process and each taught a class on the introductory day. All of the children are having a great time and greeting us with amazing energy when we arrive.
In total, this year’s program will reach approximately 120 youth participants and will see large audiences as we plan on going into communities through schools and churches for this year’s performances. The students have already begun to identify the issues they will target in this year’s production which should be interesting as the national campaign season is just beginning and already very intense. It is imperative that children’s voices are heard in this election. They cannot vote, but every decision made will have a large impact on their lives.
Please check this blog regularly to read and see more about the progress we are making daily. Blessings!

Everything that you are talking about sounds so exciting. I think this is something I would want to be part of down the line. It seems like you are really benefiting from the experience. Hope all is well.
